I agree with a lot of this, even as I also think ultra processed food is probably the root of the problem. It feels like the deck is stacked against us in terms of: a lot of people cannot access healthy food, either because of money, geography, or both. If there’s anything that exists to make people healthier, it’s a positive thing overall, even if it doesn’t address the primary causes directly.
Yes! Ugh. We desperately need to address the root cause but the system is so broken it would require a complete overhaul of multiple entities like healthcare, education, and agriculture. Those are some big ships to get to change course
Yes it’s a generational problem that will take generations to solve. So in the meantime if something comes along that can help then I’m all for it. I also think it’s fascinating how anecdotally people on these drugs report having fewer cravings for alcohol and such.
